An ode to typography

This book is a culmination of several months of work focusing on all things typography. Designers explored a wide range of what typography offers, from utilitarian to expressive, formal & functional. Using the alphabetical character A, I expressed the character’s qualities through four different mediums, including letterpress, riso printing, digital tools, and casting light.

Each medium has its unique characteristics,

which allowed me to explore the letter’s form

and materiality in greater depth. I created a

unique visual experience with the four mediums

using elements such as banana peels, leaves,

digital elements, red, green, and blue lights, vinyl,

plexiglass, and ink.
