RFM Type System

The RFM Type System is a custom typeface designed for the Raleigh Fire Museum in North Carolina. Rooted in a modular grid system, this typeface utilizes squares and triangles to form a sharp yet blocky letter structure, reflecting both the calculated movements of firefighters entering buildings and the unpredictable energy of fire.

The bold geometry of the typeface establishes a commanding presence, reinforcing the museum’s dedication to honoring the bravery and precision of firefighters. The brand identity is further strengthened by a striking color palette of black, white, and red, symbolizing strength, clarity, and the intense nature of fire itself.
